Port Village shopping Centre held its fun filled Market Day last Saturday with masses of special offers from both the regular stores and a whole range of stalls showcasing local products and produce.

The highlight of the day was a cooking demo from 2012 My Kitchen Rules favourite contestant David Hopgood and winner Leigh Sexton who' s crepes with organic strawberry jam and fresh basil leaves were simply divine.

The Port FM Saturday Morning Sports team were on hand to devour (or should that be taste) the chefs creations whilst broadcasting 'live' from the centre forecourt.

Face painting for the kids proved to be very popular with balloon giveaways and a fascinating presentation from the Wildlife Habitat where the kids could pet the animals and learn about them first hand.

The Port Village Market Day was a perfect complement all day to the Taste of Paradise also being held throughout the day down at the Sugar Wharf.

Locals and visitors to Port Douglas were really spoilt for choice as they went from foodie heaven to retail bargains. A great day was had by all...
