Modèle13, Carnivale stunner
Newsport Publishing’s PORT DOUGLAS Magazine is proud to be the major media partner for the inaugural Modèle13 event for this 2013 Carnivale. In fact Modele13 has risen to new heights from a previous Carnivale favourite, the 5 Senses evening.
Event organisers who have driven this event onwards and upwards are a very cool duo, Claire Tierney and Annetta Tantanis. Claire has co-cordinated events all around the world as well as locally in Port Douglas and for Carnivale for many years. This year Annetta, who has been in the fashion industry for 18 years; joins Claire as Marketing Manager/PA.
This year there is a fabulous new line-up of local fashion stores for Modèle13. Four previous favourites from the original 5 Senses fame, Attitudes, Lorna Jane, The Eye and Tshinta and three new stores joining us this year, Charlee Can Jewellery, Ives Mensland and Tzusk. We also have hair stylist Jen, from Jennifer Campbell for Hair and Jessie Forrest from Designer Portraiture Australia as our official photographer. Local restaurants Salsa, Seabean and Harrison's are on board this year with before AND after show dinner specials.
Modèle13 was created from the 5 Senses team from past years. This year the event has been revamped event with the focus being FASHION. The format for the fashion show is that all seven Local fashion boutiques and designers participate in a fashion parade showcasing both ladies and men’s clothing and accessories, modelled by some our region’s finest young talent.
Modèle13 is shaping up to be Port Douglas Carnivale's ultimate ladies fashion event. Guests will be greeted with a glass of complimentary champagne while they enjoy music and mingle with fellow fashionistas amidst the twilight ambiance of the Sugar Wharf. The evening comprises many exciting features including Best Dressed prizes; so dress up ladies! There is also a very special Opening Guest and a few other surprises, but you will need to come on the night to enjoy these extra treats.
Doors open at 6:30pm at the Sugar Wharf for Modèle13. The fashion parade will commence at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at ORIGIN ESPRESSO in Port Douglas, GOODIE'S CAFE in Mossman and online at <link typo3 tickets are available>www.trybooking.com/CRMB tickets are just $25 per person with $18 for under 18 years.
