Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies, including Ramada Resort, Port Douglas, today (Friday 17th May) announced surfing legend, Layne Beachley would continue to be its brand ambassador for the seventh consecutive year.
“We are delighted to announce that Layne Beachley, the greatest female surfer of all time, will continue to be our brand ambassador,” said CEO and Managing Director, Barry Robinson.
“Holding the greatest number of consecutive world titles – male or female – she is passionate about sharing her experiences in order to inspire and motivate others,” he added.
Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific has been enjoying a rapid expansion of its resort portfolio. It currently has 24 resorts across Australia including the Ramada in Port Douglas, New Zealand and Fiji and it recently announced its 25th property acquisition, Wyndham on William, currently under development in the Melbourne CBD.
“Like Wyndham, I like to push the limits. I am proud to be associated with a company that has moved from strength to strength,” said Ms Beachley.
“As a professional surfer I was always travelling. Over the past seven years as ambassador for Wyndham, the quality of their resort accommodation has consistently impressed me. Their resorts are positioned at excellent locations across the South Pacific with most offering spacious, fully self-contained apartments and excellent facilities,” said Ms Beachley.
In her role as brand ambassador, Layne Beachley has given WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Vacation Owners the once-in-a-lifetime experience of learning to surf with a legend at VIP Owner Events held across the South Pacific. Layne also plays a motivational role to Wyndham’s some 1,500 Asia Pacific staff, encouraging them to perform at their peak.
Layne Beachley will partner with Wyndham in several capacities, including appearances at resort events and contributing to the company’s blog and social media efforts on topics related to Wyndham’s resort destinations.
We are excited to keep working with Layne in delivering our vision of making holiday dreams come true,” said Mr Robinson.
As soon as we receive news of any plans for a visit by Layne to the Ramada Port Douglas property, The Newsport will let you know.
