Danny to be Central of attention

Danny Ross' rise through the ranks of The Voice has been inspiring to watch. But now he needs people power to propel him to even greater heights.

Having successfully negotiated the Blind Audition and Battle Rounds, Danny's fate now lies in the hands of the voting public.

And this is where Danny's brother, Byron, is stepping in.

In conjunction with the Central Hotel in Macrossan Street, Byron has organised for Danny's next performance (Sunday, 7pm) to be televised on the big screen, and he wants as much local support for Danny there as possible.

Byron told The Newsport Danny has exceeded his expectations on the show.

"Knowing him probably better than anybody, he's surprised me a lot with his groundedness. He's been preparing for this and he's been bringing it to the plate every time he's gone to bat.

"I expected him to go through, but I didn't expect him to have that presence that he's had on stage. It has been amazing," he beamed.

Votes for Danny can be cast in a number of ways including phone, text, and Facebook among others, but the most valuable votes are cast by buying Danny's music via iTunes - amassing two votes for every song purchased.

Byron is hoping up to 100 people will get down to the Central to cheer Danny on at 7pm on Sunday. Let's make it 200!
