wellness@Port continues as a top day spa choice for travellers, with the business winning its second Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel website.

With around 2.5 million businesses listed on the site, the prestigious prize honours the top 10 percent, as establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews.

"We strive to offer our customers a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive reviews on TripAdvisor," said Frank Frikker, director and co-owner of wellness@port's operator, mind & motion spas.

"To have achieved this, in addition to being awarded the “Best Spa Experience”at the Port Douglas Business Awards twice in a row, makes us very happy and proud of our excellent team."

To qualify, businesses must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least a year, and judging is based on performance and volume of reviews received within the past 12 months. The site boasts more than 200 million unique visitors every month, with travellers around the world posting more than 60 new contributions every minute.

wellness@port, a Macrossan Street favourite since 2006, provides traditional treatments as well as novelties like spa hen's parties. Mr. Frikker, a corporate performance coach, also initiated spa conference treatments, catering for up to 50 professionals in need of some R&R.

The annual Port Douglas Business Awards recognise the region's best dining, tourism, accommodation, retail, wedding, health, and beauty and fitness providers, plus top events and entertainment.
