The boys are back … and the fairy tales are dirty!
On Thursday 4 April 2013, The Clink Theatre will welcome back three-time recipients of the People’s Choice Award at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Sound & Fury, the talented trio of Richard Maritzer, Patrick Hercamp, and Ryan Adam Wells to the stage in their new show 'Dirty Fairy Tales.'
Following on from successful Clink shows in both 2011 and 2012, the show promises to be another hit from these Los Angeles natives which is strictly “not for the kids!”
Dirty Fairy Tales premiered at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival in July 2012 to sell-out crowds and is currently touring Australia. The boys have turned classic fairy tales on their ear, creating very naughty parodies in their signature style of silliness, song and sexual innuendo.
Classics such as “Rapunzel”, “Jack and the Beanstalk” and “The Emperor’s New Clothes” will never sound the same again and in true Sound & Fury style, the boys will improvise a fourth retelling to wrap up the evening based purely on audience suggestion.
“We went for the highbrow classics to parody in the past, but this year we’re going for the groin and chose some more familiar works to twist to our own desires … altered with our own particularly kind of naughty.”
Bookings for one show only available at trybooking.com, Origin Café Port Douglas and Sunrise Snack Bar, Mossman.
