Noah Creek Bridge on Cape Tribulation Road north of Thornton Beach is currently closed until further notice.

A truck associated with bridge refurbishment works has become wedged and a crane will arrive on site this afternoon to remove the vehicle.

Once the truck is moved, damage to the bridge will be assessed and it will be determined whether repairs are required before the bridge can be re-opened.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible. Council will advise in the Alerts section of its website www.cairns.qld.gov.au when the bridge is re-opened.
