On the back of Ben Southall’s successful 2009 best job campaign for the Great Barrier Reef – which contributed $12 million in tourist spending – adventure seekers have the chance to apply for six similar jobs.

However, there is less than a month to apply for Tourism Australia’s new Best Jobs: Queensland's Park Ranger, NSW's Chief Funster, South Australia's Wildlife Caretaker, WA's Taste Master, Northern Territory's Outback Adventurer and Melbourne's Lifestyle Photographer.

The competition is open world wide to applicants aged 18 to 30 to submit their 30 second video before April 10 and convince judges why they deserve the $100,000 to land one of six dream jobs.
 
Australia currently ranks fifth in terms of worldwide applications for the six positions with more than 30,000 Australians having so far expressed interest in the six 'best jobs'.
 
Tourism Australia Managing Director Andrew McEvoy said the response so far from Australians to the competition had been huge, but urged interested applicants to continue to apply and to get their video filmed and submitted before the critical deadline to avoid missing out.
 
"We've already seen some fantastic applications from Australians and, based on the huge interest we've already received, there's plenty more to come,” he said.

“We know that many people are taking their time working on their video, so no doubt there'll be a last minute rush.
 
"Just remember though, if you want to win it, you've got to be in it. The closing date is fast approaching and I'd strongly advise people to submit their video application as soon as possible rather than waiting until the last day.”
