Steley, Doolah win 4BBB

Mossman Golf Club players and visitors had a challenging week with tropical weather patterns. The course was playable on Monday, however, showers prevailed in the evening and the conditions didn’t improve until Friday.

Dan Hober was the winner of the Friday Frolic, on a count-back to Mick Lancaster.

Saturday, Australia Day, saw a great field of players enjoy a 4BBB Stableford in addition to a Yellow Ball Competition, which was won by Ian Steley, James Doolah, Brendon Wood and Mick Lancaster.  

The 4BBB was also won by Ian Steley and James Doolah with a brilliant 50 points ahead of Matty Coulthard and Damien Pitcher with 48 points.

Nearest the pins were Sy Dolphin on 8, Elijah Boon on 17 and Geoff Parmenter on 10. In the Ladies, Alison Diamond won nearest the pin on the 10th.

In the Sunday competition Art Howard got the honours with 35 points ahead of John Cameron on a count-back. Nearest the pin was Charlie Kadic on 8.

The Monday public holiday saw great scoring from Norm Lockwood with 40 points ahead of Alec Ford with 36 points on a count-back. Nearest the pins were John Cameron on 8 and 17 and Patrick Shay on 10.
