Hober on fire at Mossman

Mossman Golf Club players and visitors are enjoying green fairways now that we have had a few overnight showers.
Last Tuesday’s Stableford event was won by Jeff Murray with 39 points ahead of Dan Hober with 37 points on a count-back to Ralf Middel and Graham Cook.
Nearest the pins were Russell Jeffrey on 6, Russell Watkins on 8, Geoff Parmenter on 10, Dan Hober on 13, and Laurie Prosser on 17.
The winner of the 9 holes Sporters on Wednesday saw Elijah Boon victorious with 22 points ahead of Dennis Blake with 20 points. Nearest the pins were Dennis on 6 and Elijah on 8.
Thursday’s Ladies Stableford winner was Virginia Goodall with 37 points ahead of Jan Steele with 35 points and Ellen Clark with 34 points on a count-back to Helen Gabour.
Nearest the pins were Bev Cowe on 6, Cheryl Revell on 8, Kerri-Lynn Williams on 10, Julie Hooker on 13 and Gayle Healey on 17.
The winner of the Friday Frolic was Dan Hober with 19 points for 9 holes.
A few tropical showers kept players away on Saturday, however the skies cleared on Sunday and players enjoyed good conditions.
Once again Dan Hober was the winner on Sunday with a great score of 44 points ahead of Matty Coulthard with 39 points and Damien Pitcher with 37 points.
