Men’s Results

Members attended a memorial and ashes ceremony for John Hocking on Saturday morning which was held on the Daintree River. A special thanks goes to Lee Lafferty for the use of his vessel which was a key element for the occasion.

The memorial continued with social games in the afternoon at which Morrie and E Smith def. M Plummer and C Wills 20-16, B Gard and Doug Pitt def. A Douglas and P Cleary 28-17.

Jack Dwyer, Jason Dwyer and C Dwyer def. K Dwyer, B Dwyer and D Egan 23-11, T Pisot and Kiwi def. Zilly and R Patterson 28-15, T Pitt and D Blain def. G Marsh and P Gorsuch 36-17 and the big winners were Dick Pitt and N Tesch who romped over Rangi and C Maxted with a score of 43-8.

Next Saturday Mossman will host the McFarlane Shield with games commencing at 1.30pm. Players are reminded to wear whites for this event.

Welcome back to a new year of bowling. Carole Maxted and Clair Holloway were winners last week while Robyn Petrus won the raffle.
