Gorge bus stolen
A man in his early 20s is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing a Mossman Gorge mini-bus on Monday night.
The Mossman Gorge man allegedly took the vehicle to pick up his girlfriend from Mareeba, and will appear in Mossman Magistrates court on 6 March on drink driving, disqualified driving, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle charges.
The vehicle was returned to the Mossman Gorge Centre undamaged.
An 18 year-old woman was charged with public nuisance after allegedly being intoxicated and throwing herself onto the Captain Cook Highway. She will front Mossman Magistrates Court on 20 March.
Mossman Police are seeking witnesses to an alleged assault of an 18 year-old man by a 40 year-old man in the Woolworths car park in Mossman on Friday 22 February at around 6pm. Anyone who may have seen the incident can call Mossman Police on 4098 2177.
Meanwhile, a 41 year-old Mossman woman was charged with drink driving on Saturday morning, registering a blood alcohol reading of 0.125. She will appear in Mossman Magistrates Court on 20 March.
Finally, a 48 year-old man was arrested on possession of a bong after police were called to a domestic dispute in Cooya Beach on Saturday night. He will also appear in Mossman Magistrates Court on 20 March.
