Junior Raiders wrap up season in style

The Junior Reef Raiders finished their junior rugby season with a finals game on Friday night and a Presentation BBQ at Raider Park on Sunday.

Friday night saw all three teams up against the Innisfail Vikings and although not all teams came away with a win, they all fought hard to the very end.

2014 will be an exciting year for some of our players with the introduction of a Nationwide Junior Gold Cup competition consisting of the 24 centres across Australia. With fundamental changes occurring in Junior Rugby Union, this pathway is a marquee program for the Under 15 and Under 17 age groups for 2014. Congratulations to Henry Miller, Matthew Chesterfield and Tully Cartwright for selection in this elite program. The club is very proud of them.

Trophies were awarded at the Presentation afternoon.
