The Port Douglas marina is a Mirage no longer, with the recently re-named 'Reef Marina' ending Christopher Skase's lingering tenure at the site.

The change, led by new manager Robert Cruz, comes over 30 years after one-time owner Skase made the Sheraton Mirage resort the town's tour de force. The resort retains the Mirage brand in name only, with new owners planning a complete refurbishment in the new year.

On The Spot Signs created the new Reef Marina signs, with a team from Papillon Landscaping doing the labour.

Check out The Newsport later this week for an exclusive interview with Robert Cruz.
