Splash, slide and sizzle into Youth Week

National Youth Week has kicked off and Cairns Regional Council is presenting a range of events to celebrate.

Council has partnered with community organisations to put on events in Mossman, Trinity Beach, Cairns, Edmonton and Gordonvale.

Mossman’s George Davis Park will host activities including Xbox games, OzTag, air brush tattooing and a sausage sizzle.

For those looking for a bit of adventure, a day of hiking, bushcraft, navigation and exercise will start bright and early on Sunday in Mossman.

Next week, make a splash at Trinity Beach and join the Fluro Flava underage rave, which will provide a drug-free, alcohol-free dance party featuring live DJs and a laser show.

Fans of live music are also well catered for, with the Subject to Noise band night at Gordonvale RSL to feature some of Cairns’ best up-and-coming musical talent.

And the week will start and end with a splash, with a beach day at Trinity Beach on Monday and evening waterslides at Sugarworld next Friday.
