Four competitors turned out for a hot sunny afternoon’s shoot competing in a 700 metre double range with an intermittent shadow on the target.

Neil Attwood was the first competitor on the mound shooting in the Full Bore (manually supported 308 with peep sights) comp. Neil opened with a 2 and a 3. He cut them and went on to squeeze off a string of 4s and a few bullseyes and one V bull to give him a score of 42/1.
 
Ron Schild was next, shooting in the Full Bore comp. Ron opened with a 3 and a 5. He cut the 3 and went on to pull a mixed bag of shots to give him a score of 40 from a possible 50.

We welcomed Ben Purvis as our newest member to the Club. Ben also shot in the Full Bore comp using Neil Attwood’s rifle. Ben opened with a 5 and a 3 which he kept and then went on to shoot a pretty good first range score given he is new to target shooting with a final tally of 32.

Malcolm McKellar was next in the Full Bore 308 comp. Mal opened with a bullseye and a super V Bull and then went on to squeeze off a very consistent string of bullseyes and super V bulls with one 4 creeping in to give him a near perfect score of 49/5 from a possible 50.

Neil Attwood was back for his second 700 metre range. Neil opened with two 4s. Cutting them he went on to squeeze off a very credible score of 53/3 from a possible 55 in the 11 shot match.

Ron Schild was back for his turn at the target. Ronny opened with a 4 and a 2, cutting them. He went on to shoot a much better round with a final score of 45 with five bullseyes.

Ben Purvis was up next, Ben shot a much better second range score of 43 with four bullseyes.

Malcolm McKellar was back on the mound and opened with a bullseye and a 4. He cut them and then went on to show his form as a brilliant marksman with a score of 55/7 and four super V Bulls which is about the size of a DVD.
 
Malcolm McKellar took honours in the Full Bore comp with a final score of 104/12 followed by Neil Attwood in second place with 95/4 and in third position was Ron Schild with a combined score of 85 followed by our newby, Ben Purvis on 75.

A big thank you to Jed Kemp for pulling the targets. We would like to invite any interested persons to come along and have a go at this very challenging sport. We shoot every Saturday at 1pm.
