Douglas Netball held its AGM prior to Easter and it was great to see the meeting so well attended with a few new faces standing for committee and a number of experienced players, coaches and umpires joining the 2013 group.

DNA is going from strength to strength with coach, umpire and player training over the Junior and Senior competition. A Level 1 umpire’s course was held in March with 11 members completing the course who will now undertake practical umpire training over the season with the help of experienced mentors to guide them.  

Congratulations to the new Level 1 umpires and thanks to Lynne Kinrade (DNA), Cherie Jackson and Miranda Angell (CNA) for holding the course in Port Douglas.
    
Douglas Netball announced the representative squads for 2013 in the 12 and 14/Under ages groups. A team in each age group will be chosen from the squads to play in Cairns in July representing Douglas.

12/Under squad
