Cash netted in tennis club break in

The Port Douglas Tennis Club was broken into last Wednesday night, the fourth time the Club has been targeted in two years.

Mossman CIB Detective Sergeant Trevor Perham said thieves had cut padlocks to access the premises and steal a small amount of cash.

Meanwhile, the 21 year-old man charged with the unlawful wounding of a 35 year-old Port Douglas man after an alleged glassing incident took place in Port Douglas on 9 March has had his case adjourned.

He will now front Mossman Magistrates Court on 15 May.
