Adam Cousens Free Concert at Shertaon Mirage

Adam Cousens Free Concert at Sheraton Mirage

This Saturday (20th April) singer songwriter Adam Cousens is performing at the Sheraton Mirage, Port Douglas from 7pm absolutely FREE.

Adam is on his Shot Gun single and tour all around Australia and this is a rare local opportunity to catch up with a superstar of his stature.

Adam Cousens is well known for his positivity and folky roots singer-songwriter songs; but that is all about to change. Coming out of the blocks in 2013 with a bold demeanour and intensity courtesy of his new single Shotgun, Cousens showcases another side to his music that has lay dormant until now.

Maintaining an upbeat barometer that will have crowds boot stomping and hollering on his forthcoming tour of Queensland, Shotgun presents a new context for Cousens’ to showcase his undeniable ability to write a story within a song and engage listeners into the world in which he sings aboutt.

A grungy-esque spaghetti western style combines with guitar driven pop hooks, church bells, whistles and thumping drums to make Shotgun a non-stop action packed ride from start to finish. Who’s got the number for Tarantino?  Shotgun may just be a tune for Django 2.

Have a listen and you decide; one thing is certain, turn up your speakers and enjoy…

Shotgun was recorded and mixed by Al Future at the Avalon Futurium in Tasmania, mastered by Steve Smart at Studios 301, and assisted through Arts Tasmania by the Minister for the Arts.

SHOTGUN TOUR
After the success of his 12-date solo tour in November 2012, Cousens is coming back to the Sunshine State that has become a regular base to perform along with Melbourne and his home state Tasmania.

Thanks to the assistance provided through Arts Tasmania by the Minister for the Arts, Cousens will be performing with his band and bringing along fellow Tasmanians Dark Matter Of Story Telling to support at seven shows of the eleven-date tour.

The Adam Cousens Band and Dark Matter Of Story Telling will tour to Dalby, Peregian Beach, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Gold Coast, and Rainbow Beach; before Cousens goes further north to Cairns, Port Douglas, Townsville, and special house concerts along his travels.
