Vicki is back!

It seems Australian netball legend Vicki Wilson can't get enough of Port Douglas.

Vicki will return to town to host more clinics for the region's up-and-coming champions. Held this Friday, Douglas Netball Association representative Treveen Page said the clinics are a great opportunity to learn from the best.

"The Kids should get along to the clinics because they have a chance to learn from one of the best in Australian netball." Ms Page said.

"Vicki has a wealth of experience in playing, training drills and techniques and has the distinct ability to portray a natural enthusiasm for the game."

Ms Page said previous clinics with Vicki Wilson had been tailored to suit DNA's young netballers.

"Before she came up last time she consulted with Sharon Beechey, DNA’s Junior Convenor, as to what the girls should be learning. Sharon asked that specific areas in the game be covered which Vicki was only too happy to oblige.

"The drills and knowledge she imparted were a fresh approach and it is great to see the kids understand that with good training and dedication they all have an opportunity to play at theirbest."

Friday evening will see Douglas Netball hosting its presentation night starting at 7pm "under the stars" at Port Courts. Tickets are $35 per head with a food by John Stevenson, refreshments, music, and, of course, to honour the competitions best players.http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Newsport-Daily/80551860770?ref=hl
