Tam still jamming

'Tam's Memorial Jam' is sure to attract huge community support.
'Tam's Memorial Jam' is sure to attract huge community support.

In what is sure to be an uplifting Port Douglas event, 'Tam's Memorial Jam' will give people an opportunity to say goodbye to Tamzin Laredo who recently lost her battle with cancer.

To be held at the Central Hotel from 2pm this Sunday, the afternoon has already attracted the support of 20 local musicians who will make Tam's farewell party a fond one.

Tam's husband, Matt Gorringe, said those who would like to say a few words about their memories of Tamzin will have the opportunity to do so, and Matt himself will read the eulogy he read at her funeral service.

"I just hope everyone gets there and has a good time really. That's what Tam would have wanted," Matt said.

Michael Gabour will MC the event which is sure to gain an overwhelming response. In April this year the 'Jam for Tam' concert drew over 400 people to help raise money for her treatment.
