No stopping some people
A week-long traffic blitz in Port Douglas has resulted in a number of drivers being nabbed for what police describe as "life-endangering offences."
Of most concern were the four drivers who were caught failing to stop at stop signs - an act which could have disastrous consequences.
In addition, three drivers were issued with speeding infringements and one for not wearing a seatbelt.

"Failing to stop at a stop sign is just horrendous," said Port Douglas Police Officer-In-Charge Damian Meadows. "It's a life-endangering offence, as is speeding and failing to wear seatbelts.
"The numbers we've got in a week is concerning. It's about time people switched their brains back on."
