Men’s Results

It was a close game in the Club Selected Threes competition semi-final on Saturday with G Bolton. R Gard and B Wolland defeating T Pitt, C Wills and P Cleary 18-14.

In social competition high spirits and full rinks saw a great afternoon of bowls with A Christie, C Andreassen and J Bull def. Morrie, G Wilmot and Zilly 22-21.

• The big winners were E Pitt, G Marsh and D Patterson who defeated B Barabas, R Edwards and B Field 38-11.

Ladies Results

Two games of graded triples were played with Bev Zillfleisch, Sonia Edwards and Maria Mijo defeating Val Franzi, Estelle O’Rourke and Judy Maxwell (22-14).

Jan Gard, Joan Day and Glenn Lepp defeated Maree Crees, Barbara May and Val Robinson (24 -15). Team Gard will now play Greta Burke, Jean Marsh and Janice Brlyack on Thursday 6 September.

Social bowls was won by Denise Highland and Carmen Bolton (2w+8), and the raffle was won by Val Franzi.

Next Thursday 13 September is Doreen Ponzo’s Memorial Day and also meeting day.
