Want to see what makes this region great? There's no better reflection than The Newsport's Best Photo Competition where dozens of entries have been received in August alone.

The judges have narrowed down the field to their top 10(ish), but you decide which photo is worthy of being pronounced the Most Popular Photo for August by placing your vote (LINK).

Ben and Cath from Sass Studios, and Perrin Clarke from Imagebank Australia have chosen some amazing shots this month, three of which will take podium finishes in the Best Photo Competition, while the Most Popular Photo is the crowd pleaser!

The prizes are fantastic. Garricks Camera House are offering a $100 and $50 cash for the winner, Imagebank Austalia will create a lovely stretched canvas valued at $120 for the runner-up, third place will receive a double-pass to Moonlight Cinema, while the Most Popular Photo will earn themselves a delicious Italian Cookbook (Warning - do not eat the book) and necessary MasterChef apron from Coles Supermarket Port Douglas.
