Net closes in on Four Mile flasher

Police have arrested a 56 year-old Mowbray man on a charge of Committing an Indecent Act relating to the incident outlined in the article below. We'll bring you details of the investigation on Thursday.

Police are confident of an arrest after two complaints were made over a flasher exposing himself to members of the public on Four Mile Beach.
Witnesses say the man, aged between 50 and 55 years of age, was seen masturbating near the Sands Street entrance to the beach on Friday afternoon.
Mossman CIB has interviewed the witnesses who have described the man as Caucasian, of an average build and between 175cm and 178cm tall. He was wearing knee-length board shorts with no shirt, had a large straw hat on and was wearing a dark coloured "man-bag."

The man was again seen at the same location at around 4pm on Monday and faces indecent exposure or wilful exposure charges.
The investigation is ongoing and Police are encouraging anyone with further information to contact Mossman CIB on 4098 2177 or Port Douglas Police Station on 4087 1999.
In other Police news, four drink drivers were detected between 27 and 29 of September. The two local and two interstate drivers will face Mossman Magistrates Court on 24 October on drink-driving charges.
