Muddies Blue topple Tully
The boys were keen to get down to Fuller Park and wrap the game up pretty quickly, but Tully had different ideas and went about their batting in a patient and very determined manner.
David Johnson got the breakthrough with a clean bowled to have Tully 2 for 30 after 15 overs. A small partnership of 37 was made before Sam Hodgson took his first wicket for the club and finished with figures of 1 for 28 off 8 overs.
The next partnership put Muddies Blue to the test as Tully found the gap with well placed shots and offering no chances.
Al Canclaw for Tully made 54 but not before being hit by a number of balls - at one stage he had to bring out the chest guard after some great bowling by Adam Lucas.

David Johnson again made the breakthrough clean bowling Canclaw out for 54. This left Tully 4 for 140. Viks Chandra had his first spell of the season and bowled a controlled line and was unlucky not to get his first wicket of the season through an LBW that was not given.
Chandra finished with figures 0 for 28 off 11. Garry Postans took a great catch at short mid off from the bowling of Johnson to leave dangerous Dave with figures of 4 for 57 off 20 overs.
Tully was now 5 for 140. With the game in the balance Skipper Cody gave himself a chance with the ball and was smashed for 14 off his over with a huge 6 and he quickly removed himself from bowling to hand the ball back to Lucas.
Tully got the score ticking over needing a run a ball with four overs left before Lucas cleaned up the tail to finish with figures 4-37 off 19.4 overs.
Muddies Blue won the game by 11 runs and have won two from two. Man of the match taking 3 points was A. Lucas and D Johnson picking up 1 point.
Next Game for Muddies Blue is at Fretwell Park against Mulgrave Toads starting at 8.30am.
