There was plenty of action over the last week at Mossman Memorial Bowls Club, while the structure of the new committees was announced at the AGM.

Men’s Results

Bunn and Belshaw Day was a tremendous success on Saturday and some great competition was enjoyed by all. In a close game L Valentine, G Wilmot and C Maxted def. P Morrison, Kiwi and Doug Pitt 12-11.

Dick Pitt and Zilly def. M Radloff and B Wolland 14-7, Hock Jnr, C Wills and N Tesch def. S Chatterton B Hando and T Brlyack 19-2 and with a very convincing win T Pitt P Jansen and P Cleary defeated G Bolton, G Marsh and E Smith 27-8.

Next Saturday will be Patron’s Day courtesy of Joe Girgenti so look forward to another memorable day.

In other news a new Men’s committee was elected at the AGM on Sunday. Our new office bearers are Peter Cleary (President), Ranald Edwards (Vice President), Graham Bolton (Secretary) Joe Girgenti  
(Patron), Neville Tesch (Games Director), Colt Dwyer (Men’s Rep) Andy Christie (Press Correspondent) and Selectors Col Maxted, Simon Jellis, Eric Smith and Peter Gorsuch. Congratulations to all.

Ladies Results

Eighteen ladies had an enjoyable day of bowls with Carole Maxted, Val Robinson and Dot Kostyrka being declared winners (2w+18). Val Robinson won the raffle.
