Whether you're travelling from the far reaches of the globe, or simply walking to the end of your street to watch the upcoming total solar eclipse, the old Scouts' motto of 'Be Prepared' has never been more relevant.

That's why Cairns Regional Council has put together a comprehensive guide to all things eclipse 2012.

Titled 'Look Up', the free booklet provides key information from viewing times, the best locations, and safety tips, to road closures and celebrations that are happening around the region.

You can download your copy of Look Up right here, and printed copies will available throughout the region from Monday.

With up to 60,000 people expected to converge on the region, don't get stuck in traffic without your eclipse glasses at 6.38am on 14 November.

Grab a cuppa, have a read through Look Up, and do what any good Scout would do.
