UNDER 8

The Under 8s had another awesome game of footy on Saturday, defeating Edmonton Storm 24 - 0. 

Great defensive work from the Sharks ensured that, despite their best efforts, Edmonton could not get the ball over the line. 

A fierce attacking game from the Sharks saw try scoring machine Kye Durie score three times, pocket rocket Tyson Osborne cross the line twice, with Brodie Francis adding an additional four points to the board. 

Tyson was awarded the Man of the Match for his great footwork and the Coach's Award went to Kaelen Marr for his great tackling.

UNDER 9

The Mossman Under 9s played Edmonton on the weekend with all watching an amazing game of footy.  Mossman was off to a great start with Braxton scoring early. 

After that Edmonton came back into the game and scored through some great passing and backing up.  The Mossman players saw this and copied it perfectly but then added a bit extra scoring three unanswered tries for the remainder of the game. 

The team really has found its mojo and have come together working for each other.  Man of the match went to Jimmy Smith for his brilliant game of football.

REPRESENTATIVE FOOTY

What a fantastic feat for Junior Rugby League this week with a wealth of talent being incorporated into the Cairns Representative teams. 

Billy Adams (Under 11), Nathan Woods (Under 13), Jason Fasano (Under 14) and Adam MacDonald (Under 15) were selected as coaching the representative sides, while Danny Buzza (Under 11) and Jason Ablett (Under 15) assisting their respective coaches is an absolute coup for Mossman and shows what Mossman can offer the rugby league community.

In the Under 11s and 12s the respective coaches selected players to have a taste of representative football and these players were Billy Kadwell, Tom Walker, Lachlan Buzza and Zeclen Grogan-Ryan for the Under 11s and Trazane Cobb and Cody Port for the Under 12s. 

The boys all put in a great effort in their respective teams and enjoyed the experience.  The teams played games against Innisfail Representative Side and the Eacham Representative Side.

The Under 13, 14 and 15s will be announced shortly.

Well done to Mossman Junior Rugby League Coaching Staff and well done to the boys who participated.
