Billionaire casino king James Packer believes the wealthy and growing Chinese middle class, a group of people Australia's tourism industry is pinning its future hopes on, aren't interested in our naturally beautiful landscapes and attractions.
Speaking to 60 Minutes reporter Karl Stefanovic, Mr Packer said Australian tourism bodies need to realise that it's man-made attractions that will reap billions of dollars for the struggling industry.
However Tourism Queensland boss Don Morris disagrees saying that Chinese tourists want to experience things they can't get at home.
