Government shows tender side
Far North Queensland companies are being targeted to ensure they know what it takes to become an eligible supplier and submit the best possible tenders to government.
“Winning government tenders can help successful bidders, whether they’re manufacturers or industrial service providers, to grow their businesses and broaden the range of clients they supply." said the Queensland Government‘s acting senior Far North regional development officer, Debbie Fixter.
“At the same time, it is in the government’s interests to help businesses prepare first-rate tenders for government business.”
A workshop is being held in Cairns tomorrow to deliver the information that existing and potential suppliers need to win government tenders.
Ms Fixter said the workshops would inform participating businesses about Queensland Government procurement policies and processes, including sustainable procurement.
“They will be shown how to complete tender documents used by departments and agencies, including for high-value, difficult-to-secure goods and services,” she said.
“Government tender documents can be complex, and these workshops will help businesses to interpret and respond well to the standard terms and conditions.
“Simply put, the workshops explain how to develop and write winning tenders.”
Admission to the workshop is $45.30.
When: Thursday May 3. First session 7.45am-midday; second session 12.45pm-5pm.
Where: Cairns Service Centre conference room, Port Authority Building, cnr Grafton and Hartley streets.
