Don't hesitate, innovate!
A new wave of innovations is about to be uncovered, with applications for the 2012 Tropical Innovation Awards now open.
Now in its third year, the Tropical Innovation Awards bring together government agencies, corporate sponsors, industry experts and innovators to share ideas and take them to the next level. Cash prizes provide an extra boost to the awards winners.
The 2012 Tropical Innovation Awards will be launched by Mayor Bob Manning in his first official duty at the helm of the Cairns Regional Council.
“The awards have helped to launch local products on to the world stage and the first two years have unearthed some quality inventions with unlimited potential,” Cr Manning said.
“Having been involved with a previous awards application, I know the work that goes into creating and establishing a new product and the pride you take in showcasing it to your peers.
“The awards offer networking opportunities, product exposure and the chance to develop an innovation in a commercial capacity.”
The launch will be hosted by Cairns business guru Andrew Griffiths and feature previous award finalist Mark Geddes, who will officially launch his Indepth Ultimate iPhone Case.
