Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

Locals are readying themselves for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea celebrations, an initiative of the Cancer Council to raise funds for cancer research.

Here's how you can get involved.

Port Douglas tea party

What: CCQ’s Mossman Port Douglas volunteer branch official Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea celebrations (public event). There will be a spectacular Sheraton high tea, entertainment by Out of the Blue and the Port Douglas Academy of Performing Arts, and a fashion show by Barbarella and Swan.
When: Saturday, May 19 9am-12.30pm.
Where: Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort Ballroom.
How: Tickets are $32pp and are still available. Tickets can be purchased from the Sheraton Mirage’s tour desk, Barbarella and Swan in Port Douglas, and Ives Mensland in Mossman.

Mossman tea party

What: CCQ’s Mossman Port Douglas volunteer branch official Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea celebrations (public event). Locals encouraged to bring along their favourite tea cup, tea towel, apron or tea pot and share their tea-rrific stories! Prizes for the best tea-related stories. There will be delicious community morning tea, entertainment, cent sales, snap raffles and community spirit by the cup full.
When: Saturday, May 26 9am-12pm.
Where: Mossman Bowls Club Hall.
How: Come along on the day and share a cuppa in support of the fight against cancer! $3 entry at the door.
