Andy Smith talks Crocs

Welcome to another Crocs Presidential Report. Well the season is rapidly picking up pace and before we know it will be finals time.

Both teams on Saturday missed out on wins which made for a gloomy after match drink.

The Reserves match was a enthralling contest with Norths holding a seven goal lead just after quarter time and then some inspiring words from Wally and his off sider Heff and the boys fought back over the next three quarters to get within one kick before time beat them.

Harry kicked seven of our nine goals to have a tally of 44 goals in four games.

The Seniors, unfortunately, suffered several injuries to add to our ever growing hospital ward.

Looking for a job or need an employee? Check out our Employment section.

Michael McEwen has taken to hospital with a broken collarbone and Rohan did his shoulder. Undermanned and out muscled by a very talented North’s we never look like winning the game but to the boys credit they played the game out in fine style.

Our "retired coach" Coops showed heaps of heart and talent for the second week in a row.

Newcomer Hew Spring showed he will be a welcome addition and we have a new player arriving from Perth and also one from Southport in the next week to help strengthen our depleted ranks.

On the social side we have set a date for our women’s day luncheon and Crocs In Frocks - 23 June so pencil it in as it will be a huge day.

At 2pm the girls will be wined and dined over at Scottys bar and marquee, then at 7pm it is Crocs in Frocks Beauty Contest. Players will have to be in formal wear and then a bikini parade,  answering world changing questions put to them by compere The German.

If you wish to attend the Women’s day luncheon tickets are available from Sharon Gallery on 0419 828 639.

The Blue and White Ball is a goer on the 11 August with the band and venue to be confirmed.

This Saturday the whole club will be busy a the club bar, not drinking, serving grog at the Bulls Masters Cricket game. Hopefully it will be as well attended as last year.

This week we are having dinner at the Barrier Reef Tavern thanks to Johnny for slaving over a stove for us.

Till next week be safe and have fun

Regards
