Vote for your favourite photo

Recent rains must have inspired many of our Best Photo Competition entrants with some stunning shots of menacing skies, tranquil sun showers, raging rivers, and flourishing flowers among those sent in.

While the judges decide on which pic took their fancy in February, you can do the same by voting for your favourite in the Most Popular Photo category. The photo with the most votes will win another brilliant prize thanks to Jason and his team at Coles Supermarket Port Douglas.

Of course there are other fantastic prizes up for grabs including a $100 Garricks Camera House voucher PLUS $50 in cold hard cash for the best photo of the month. Thanks heaps Garricks!

Second place will have their photo placed on a stretched canvas thanks to Imagebank Australia where you can say hi to one of our judges, Perrin Clarke.

Third place winner will be able to enjoy one of the amazing sunsets we often see in the comp with a lovely bottle of wine to compliment the evening.

At a glance it looks like we've had the most photos and photographers enter the competition in February so a big thanks to everyone who has made the effort, and in doing so has made the best looking page on The Newsport.

So jump on to the Best Photo Competition page, submit your vote by Monday 12 March, and get your entry in for this month.

In a special children's category in the lead up to Easter, we'll have some prizes for those kids (12 and under) who send us a photo relating to Easter, so get them snapping.

Last but not least, thanks also to Ali George from Catseye Productions in her unenviable role as judge for the competition.
