Championship men’s bowls forged ahead over the weekend despite the rain putting a real dampener on the social competition at Mossman Bowls Club.

In the fours, a tight contest saw P Janssen, C Andreassen, Kiwi and C Maxted just got up against K Pitt, T Pitt, R Ashford and Doug Pitt 19-18.

On Sunday, D Egan defeated G Wilmot 25-16 in the A-grade singles, while in the B-grade singles, C Dwyer defeated J Maxwell 25-19.

This coming Saturday (March 24th) will be the Club “Classic Threes” competition, kicking off with the card draw at 8.30am with a 9am start.

Sunday will be a continuation of the singles competition, with B Wolland playing G Banks, and D Blain playing N Tesch in the A-grade.  The B-grade singles game will be between S Jellis and G Marsh.
