AFL tickets selling fast

After a huge response to the inaugural Richmond Tigers and the Gold Coast SUNS AFL match at a packed Cazalys Stadium in 2011, tickets to next month's return game are selling fast.

According to the AFL only 700 grandstand seats are left for sale, while all of the corporate boxes and official function seats have already sold out.

To be played under lights for the first time at Cazalys, the capacity of the venue has been increased by an additional 1,000 tickets following the sold-out match in 2011.

Richmond captain Chris Newman is also looking forward to playing in Cairns.

"We're really looking forward to the trip to Cairns to take on Gold Coast.  The boys loved the experience last year, and we were thrilled to see so many Tiger fans come out to support us.

"We were disappointed not to come away with the four points last year, so we're keen to put on a good show this time," he said.

Gold Coast SUNS captain Gary Ablett said he is also keen to play in front a a pro-SUNS crowd in Cairns.

"It was one of our highlights last year and we are looking forward to another fantastic match," Ablett said.

Over 12,000 people are expected to attend the match.
