Under 18 Crocs show fight

by Trevor Mandersloot

With a game against the top of the ladder Centrals ahead of them, the Under 18s went into last weekend's game full of confidence despite only fielding the bare 18 players.

Jordan O'Gorman got the team off to a good start with a dominant performance in the ruck and combined well with the fleet footed Nolan Rosser and Alex Forbes.

While going in to second quarter behind, there wasn't much between the two teams, but a lack of disipline creeped into the the Crocs' game putting pressure on the back line. Kieran Nyko and Jack Lowe stood tall and saved many a forward thrust.

Being one man down for the third quarter didn't seem to hinder the team as it was a very even tussle and their character shone through.

You look like you've got something to say? Why not write a Letter to the Editor?

Karl Zamataro worked his way into the contest in his first game due to a injured finger and really asserted some physicality in the forward line. That and Zac Stewart's cunningness got them back into the game.

The eventual five goal loss did the Crocs no credit and the boys should hold their heads high. In the best where Jordan O'Gorman, Kieran Nyko, Tom Keegan, Oliver Hannan, Zac Stewart and Jack Lowe.

The team hopes to welcome back up to six players for this week's game against second on the ladder Norths. With the team on the improve things are looking promising leading towards the finals.
