The Douglas Junior Netball 10/Under competition played the Gladiators against the Wildcatz on Court 1 last Tuesday, in what turned out to be a very well played game by both sides.

Coaches Aimee Watson, Tracey Pashen for Gladiators and Alex Heidke for Wildcatz were extremely proud seeing how well their teams have progressed.

Jenna Kerswell for Gladiators and Kate Padovan for Wildcatz were awarded Best & Fairest for the game. This was an equal match with both players attacking and defending very well.

Jay Heidke scored three of the Wildcatz four goals to win by one in the end.  Keely  Harold and Myah Lowenstein-Jones were given Players' Choice. Overall all the girls showed great improvement.

Final score Wildcatz 4 def. Gladiators 3.

Court 2 saw the Pythons play Net Set Go. The teams joined forces to show off the skills they are continuing to learn and put into practice.

Mikeala Nisbett showed moments of brilliance yet again, and Alex Brown is proving her goal shooting skills. A fun, fast and fabulous game to watch.

Final score Pythons 4 drew Net Set Go 4.

The Sapphires played the 12/Under Reps on Court 1 in an exciting game. The effort and skills displayed by the Reps belied the score as age and height won the day. The Sapphires won by 18 goals shot by Maddy Weaver and Holly Brown.

The Reps team contested the ball with gusto. Sascha Lowenstein-Jones and Piper Adams shot consistently and Keely Harold defended well stopping many attempts by the Sapphires.

Final score Sapphires 26 def. Reps 8.

The Breakers played the Fusion on Court 2, and the Breakers were goalless in the first half but stepped up in the send half shooting 12.
