Man airlifted from Four Mile Beach

An elderly man has been airlifted to Cairns after losing consciousness while swimming in choppy waters off Port Douglas' Four Mile Beach.

Rescuers performed CPR in an attempt to revive the man, but it is not yet known if these attempts were successful.
