The funeral service of Hazel Douglas, founder of indigenous tourism in the region and respected leader within the community, will be held on Thursday 19 July at the Assembly of God Church, Gorge Road, Mossman at 9.30am. 

She is to be buried in the South Mossman cemetery, followed by a wake at the Port Douglas Community Hall around midday.

Ms Douglas passed away after a long illness last week and tributes have been flowing in from her many friends since.
