Free entry to drive Pride

Northern Pride is offering free entry for the public to its last three home games of the season and are calling for supporters to help the club’s bid for a 2012 finals spot.

Northern Pride Chief Executive Officer Chris Sheppard is for big crowds to along to support the Pride, starting this Saturday against the Central Queensland Capras, kicking-off at 5.30pm.

“Thanks to BDO, this is an incredible opportunity for all Pride fans and far north Queensland footy fans to see top level footy for free,” said Mr Sheppard.

“People just need to turn up on the day to gain entry to the ground for no charge. Only grandstand seats will cost an entry fee, so it’s an amazing offer for people to come along at no cost.

“All of our last three home games are must-win, so the boys would really appreciate the support, and it’s a chance for local footy fans to show how much we love the game up here,” he said.

The Pride currently lie in seventh place in the Intrust Super Cup, four points away from fifth place and a potential spot in this year’s finals.

After this Saturday’s clash against the Capras, the Pride’s last two home games are against Norths Devils on 11 August, and Easts Tigers the following week.
