Cougars back on winning list

The Division 1 competition heats up in the Douglas Netball Association as the Cougars claimed victory over Crocs 1 last night.

The game started off with a 9-6 division but the Crocs came back to win the last quarter. Best and fairest awards were given to Cougars' Keren Bohm and Crocs' Ebony McCarthy.
 
The second Division 1 game for the night saw Young Guns continue their winning streak with a victory over Rattle. Guns took the court with only five players leaving GD Rebecca Nelson to defend Rattle’s two attacking players.

Rebecca was awarded best and fairest along with Zara Ryan from Rattle for her outstanding shooting.

Crocs 2 tasted defeat this week by the Jets' girls by 47-12. Jets' player Karla Logan’s defence kept the ball away from the Crocs' shooter which she was awarded best and fairest for.
 
Ring Ins claimed a large victory over Gunnars by 21-5. Gunnars struggled to get the ball into the ring in the first two quarter and couldn’t fight back for the lead.
 
There was a close game between Reptos and Wolverines this week, with Reptos coming out on top with a 22-17 win. Best and fairest was awarded to Chrissie Reushle from Reptos for her impressive shooting.
