Welcome back after our winter break. It seems like we are starting the season over again after three weeks' rest. Well what is the latest you may ask?

Firstly, some date claimers; This Saturday we play North Cairns at the Croc Pit and our girls will tackle Norths at netball.

With many season ending injuries to our players Coops has had to switch several players around and bring up troops from the two's.

We need to win at least three games over the final six games to sneak into the finals. It will show the character of the players as we have never had this amount of injuries at the club.

The Reserves are guaranteed of a finals spot and will give it a good shake this year.

Trivia night at the club is on 4 August. Teams of 4 to 6 at $5.00 per person.

The vote count will be held at the club on 28 August after the Lions' home game. This year's presentation night will be held at the Sheraton Mirage Resort on 28 September with a three course buffet dinner and music to dance the night away. Prices will be released shortly (very good deal).

Sponsors' day at the footy will be a luncheon with the 200 Club on 28 August, and try and make it to the Friday night raffles at the Courty from 5.30pm onwards.

Finally, Thursday night meals at the clubrooms for $8 are back tonight. Come and support your club.
