State League trials

Douglas Junior Netballers Chenoa Ryan and Rachael Ramsay have been training under Satellite Coach and Junior Netball Convenor Sharon Beechey for the last six weeks to ready themselves to trial for this year's Queensland State League.
 
The players travelled to Smithfield last Sunday for final preparations under the guidance of Marlin Coast president Heather McLaren.  The trial will be held this Sunday and the team will be announced next week.

Players 16 years and over are eligible to try out for the team who will contest in the State League starting in March and will play until June. If you fit the criteria and would like to trial please contact Sharon Beechey on the number below.

Pre-season training
 
Pre-season training will begin from this Thursday and continue each Tuesday and Thursday onwards. Those aged 12 to 14 will train from 4pm to 5pm and 15 years and up 5pm to 6pm.

Players from the age of 12 and up are invited to attend training. If you would like to gain some netball fitness and skills please contact Sharon Beechey or Treveen Page on the numbers below to let us know if you are attending.

Douglas Junior Netball's sign on will be held on 14 February from 4pm to 5pm at the Mossman Indoor Sports Centre. All players from ages six and up are invited to attend and we will hold a Net Set Go Program for the 8 and Under.

Competition netball will be available in age groups 10, 12, 14 and, depending on numbers, 16 and Under. Players are invited to nominate individually or as a team.

Call for volunteers
 
We are calling for coaches, umpires, team managers and general volunteers to help with the Junior Netball program for 2012.  Coaches please contact us for a nomination form. There are Coaching & Umpiring courses available at the start of the season for those who wish to learn.
