Tuesday’s field of 41 players competed in The Pavillions Port Douglas Monthly Medal with the winner, Ian Rogers, carding a nett 67, with second going to Mick Lancaster 69, and third, Larry Smith with 70. 

Nearest the pins Cameron Walton (to 39cm) on 6, Leon Baker on 8, Matt Gray on 10, Brian McDonald on 13 and Dan Hober on 17.

The 9 hole stableford Wednesday Competition was won by John Cameron, John Deuble came second on a countback to Kerri-Lynn Williams.  Nearest the pins Greg Walker on 6 and Barry Costaim on 8.

18 players contested Thursday’s Ladies Stableford event which was won by Glenda Christensen with 37 points. Second came Kerri-Lynn Williams with 35, and third Treveen Page with 33. 

Nearest the pins Patti Graham on 6, Treveen on 10, Kerri on 8 and 13, Shona Barbour on 17.

The weather was kind on Saturday with 46 players in the Mens Par event. The winner was President Ian Prewett with +7, pipping Wilson Christensen +4, Brett Jurie on +3 finished third on a countback to Frank Wohlhuter, Casey Dunne and Tano Caltiabiano. 

Nearest the pins B Jurie on 6, Mick Lancaster on 8 (great shot to 5cm), Art Howard on 10, Russell Watkins on 13 and John Deuble on 17.

The Ladies Par event was a close encounter with all prize winners on -3.  A countback saw Tracey Benham prevail, second was Kim Edwards, third Trish Landy, and fourth Pris Freeman.  Nearest the pins Kim Edwards on 6 and 8, Pris Freeman on 13.

The Sunday fields are growing and the winner was Wayne Baxter with 38 stableford points on a countback to Rick Weimar.  Nearest the pins Adam Ferguson on 6, Shona Barbour on 8, 10 and 13, and Art Howard on 17.

Mossman Golf course players have enjoyed glorious weather conditions, and visitors are invited to enjoy discounted green fees of $25 for 18 holes.  Motorised buggies are available to keep cool in the warm conditions.
