O'Brien turns up heat on Kempton

ALP Candidate for Cook Jason O'Brien  has called on LNP candidate David Kempton to tell the people of Cook who will be Premier if the LNP wins government but Campbell Newman doesn’t win the Brisbane electorate of Ashgrove.

Mr O'Brien accused the LNP of keeping their contingency plan a secret.

“The LNP is being blatantly dishonest with Queenslanders,” Mr O'Brien said.

“The LNP need to win 14 seats to govern in their own right and Ashgrove is the 26th seat on the ALP side of the pendulum".

“Queenslanders need to be wary that the LNP have a secret Plan B for the leadership in the event Campbell Newman does not get elected."

Mr O'Brien has publicly put the pressure on Mr Kempton to reveal the LNP's alternative leader.

“Mr Kempton must come clean today (and) tell the people of Cook who will be their Premier under the LNP’s secret Plan B.  The people of Cook deserve to know what backroom deals have been done and who could be Premier under a secret LNP Plan B.

“If the LNP can’t be honest about their leadership intentions – how can they ever be trusted to run Queensland?"

David Kempton could not be contacted for comment.
