Former Port Douglas cricketer in Aussie team

A former Port Douglas Mudcrabs cricketer has certainly been making a name for himself with the Australian cricket team lately.

Not as a player, but Steve Timms was inside the fence at the recent Australia versus India matches, filming for the Pro Batter cricket simulator currently being developed through the Centre of Excellence for the International Cricket Council.

Timms is currently a sports scientist for Cricket Australia, after leaving the area to study a Bachelor of Exercise and Movement Science at Queensland University of Technology.

He has since gone on to complete a Masters Degree, which has been peer reviewed, and is now at the University of Queensland undertaking a physiotherapy degree.

Steve’s brother, Ben, another former Muddie, is also studying at university in Brisbane.
