Mens' Bowls

An eventful day of competition was had on Saturday with teams playing two games of 11 ends instead of the usual 21 ends.

The overall winners of the day were J.Maxwell, M.Holland and N.Tesch who had two decisive wins giving them an overall +21 result for the afternoon.

The runners up were B.Barabas, S.Jellis and T.Brlyack with an overall +17 followed by S.Chatterton, G.Wilmot and D.Egan with a win +1.



Ladies Results

Eighteen ladies bowled last Thursday and the winners were Zina Girgenti and Val Robinson with two wins and +11.

Runners up were Jan Gard and Estelle O’Rourke with one win and +7 followed by Kay McDonald and Bev Zillfleisch +6, Denise Highland and Judy Maxwell +2, Greta Kessler and Carmen Bolton +1, Robyn Petrus and Glenys Sharp -5, Betty McClelland and Dot Kostyrka -10, Maree Crees and Carole Maxted -10. Maree Crees won the raffle.

One game of championship pairs was played and won by Maree Crees and Carmen Bolton defeating Janice Brlyack and Carole Maxted 19 – 15 in a close fought game.

Maree and Carmen will now play Estelle O’Rourke and Bev Zillfleisch and Kay McDonald and sub will now play Glenys Sharp and Dot Kostyrka.
