Jimmy Cliff's Wild World comes to Tanks

On Wednesday 20th March 2013, the legendary reggae star Jimmy Cliff is performing at Tanks Arts Centre for one night.

His patented sweet tenor is the most recognisable vocals in reggae!  From, 'I Can See Clearly Now' to 'The Harder They Come', singer and actor Jimmy Cliff has spent the past four decades spreading the reggae beat around the world.

He’s one of only two reggae musicians to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2010), along with fellow Jamaican Bob Marley.

Having recorded an unbelievable 29 albums, he returns to his roots with his new album, 'Rebirth'. While 'Rebirth' is named after what Jimmy perceives as his own artistic revival, the reggae pioneer has never really been away, working with a who’s-who of other rock legends over the years, including the Rolling Stones, Elvis Costello and Annie Lennox.

Jimmy Cliff is best known among mainstream audiences for songs such as "The Harder They Come," "Sitting in Limbo", "You Can Get It If You Really Want" and "Many Rivers to Cross" from the soundtrack to The Harder They Come, which helped popularize reggae across the world.  And his covers of Cat Stevens' "Wild World" and Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now" from the film Cool Runnings made him a global superstar.

This show will be a sell out!
